Obviously, it's been a slow, frozen month. T.O. managed to pull out the first and only
two silver coins of the year so far, both mercury dimes, along with a nice little
religious medallion. (No, Lillis, this was not something that you lost with your pope medal.)
Using ATC's patented double-hammer
technique, KG, TO, and I unearthed several tokens from the frozen Montana tundra, including some
from the Butte Electric Railway and a Chicago based slot machine firm (circa 1911).
KG and TO each uncovered 1911 pennies,
so they are tied for the oldest coin of the year after one month of 2009, even though
TO's had a huge dent from a .22 bullet.
Not much else happening here. Snow is trying to melt, so we might get out again this weekend.
Bones, Molar, and the H-man are probably busy playing patty cake with each other. Haven't heard from them
in awhile.
Beginning March 1, and running through May 31, 2009, ATC is offering the best deals
ever on the three most popular Garrett metal detectors. If you've been thinking about
buying a detector, now is the time. For example, you can get started with the ACE150
spring package for only $152.95!! Free shipping and guaranteed lowest prices on the web.
Awesome deals on packages for the GTI2500 and the ACE250 as well.
